Feeding the birds at MacGregor Point Park

Some Christmas pics.

Well once again Santa spoiled the kids ROTTEN!! Completely.

Cam scored an air hockey table. Thats a pretty big sack Santa must have to fit an air hockey table in. Well however he got it in here it was a huge hit. Avery, the lucky girl, got a camcorder! Seriously. A camcorder! And it's awesome. She has already started making movies with it.

Isaac got his firetruck.

Avery got a bean bag chair and now she is the envy of everyone else in the house.

Nana, Grandma, Mike and I got Isaac a Thomas train set with the table. His reation was priceless.

He also score a Cars tent to go over his bed which is totally cool. Why didn't they have this kind of stuff when I was a kid???

Test driving his new ATV.

Just some fun pictures.

This is what Avery does with her dinner. That's my girl.

Mike and the kids made an igloo in the front yard. My little bear decided to take a nap.

Cam rockin' out on the Wii.

Cam playing "Go that far" by Brett Michaels on EXPERT level on the Wii.

Well Christmas is here whether I'm ready or not....I'm not.

I tried my best to hold off on putting the Christmas tree up for another week or so but finally gave in to all the pressure. A girl can only hear "Pleeeeeease Mom" so many time before she crumbles.

So whether I liked it or not the Christmas decorations came out of storage, the carols blasted from the stereo and the house slowly but surely transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

For the last two weeks Isaac has been saying to anyone who will listen "Santa fire truck". It is the first thing he says when he gets up and the last thing he says before his eyes shut at night. I hear it a million times a day (seriously).
So Santa, if you happen to be reading this blog, please save mommy's sanity and bring Isaac a fire truck.

Out of all things in the world my bug lovin' girl asked Santa for a barbie.
'What the hell' your thinking? Beats me. Took me by complete surprise.
Seriously, you know when your in the toy section and there is that aisle that glows pink when you pass it? The aisle where the dolls, barbies and all the girly stuff is kept. We have NEVER been down that aisle.
Now poor Santa has to venture into unknown territory and try his best to get the perfect barbie for my perfect girl. Best of luck to you Santa.

Happy Halloween

Boo!

Avery's Spooky Birthday Bash

First of all Cameron had a Halloween Birthday Party to go to. He got all decked out as Rob Zombie.
I'd be scared....he looks creepy. Avery decided to celebrate her birthday a week early this year and have a Spooky Birthday Bash.
It was A LOT of work and a TON of fun!!!!!!!

The Cake.

Preparing the pumpkin.
The result. (Avery's idea. No shocker there.)
The table.
Avery the Avatar. She made an absolutely beautiful Neytiri.
Waiting for our Spooky guest to arrive.
An Avatar+ the Bride of Dracula+ a Witch and a couple of blood sucking vampires= a Monster Mashing good time!!!!

The feast.
The presents.
Avery had a fantastic time. She was so happy (and hyper) we couldn't get her into bed till almost 11pm!
Mission Spooky Birthday Bash.........A COMPLETE SUCCESS!

A Beautiful Thanksgiving Weekend.

Hope everyone had a good one.
Mine was full of sunshine, cottage life and happy kids!

Sunday night we had our Thanksgiving dinner and as tradition goes we each have to tell what we are thankful for before the feast.
Cameron: Thankful for his Dad who works so hard so we can have the cottage and all the great things we have.
Avery: Thankful for Dracula (her hamster) and her iPod.
Isaac: Fa fies and pissa!

Here is a vidoe Cam and Avery shot.

What a weekend!

It started with the kids in a skate-a-thon on Saturday. Avery only lasted an hour but Cameron skated for six and a half hours!!! Seriously. He was amazing! Even after his friends were dropping out one by one he kept going. Together they raised $120 for a new addition that will be built on to our local community centre. Way to go guys!

Sunday was spent doing yard work. Mike is hoping its the last time we will have to cut grass for the year but I'm hoping we will still be cutting it into December.

Anyway, this little guy was discovered digging a hole in the lawn to get comfy for the winter. Avery apparently had different plans for him. But after mulling the frog for a while she decided to let it have some peace and placed him in the garden rocks where he will be much safer waiting out the winter.
Isaac went to bed for a nap but decided it wasn't comfortable enough so instead bunked out on the kitchen floor for an hour. At least he had company.

So we agreed to babysit a friends gecko for a week. Avery was so excited that she was up yesterday morning at 6:45 ready to go cricket shopping (that's what geckos eat. Fresh. Live. Crickets)
Poke (our new guests name) arrived last night at 6 and hasn't had a moments peace since.

I'm hoping the novelty wears off soon. The poor little thing has spent more time being man-handled by my overly excited children then in her tank.

But I have to admit she is pretty cute.
