MATH+++++
As many of you know Cameron has struggled with math from the day he started JK. Things got so tough for him this year that we had to get him a tutor two nights a weeks just so he wouldn't flunk it.
When the first report cards came out in November Cam had all C-'s and D's so I made him a deal that for anything over a B I would give him $20. ($$ is a huge incentive for him. He likes to watch the bank book grow) Well the second report card came and although there was an improvement his highest grade was a C+ which we were very happy with....but no $$$$ for him.
When I went to pick the kids up from school today Cameron came storming towards me, report card in hand and a huge smile on his face. I grabbed his report card, looked at it and had a hell of a time holding back the tears. Cameron received three B+'s and an A-.....and $80!!!!!!!!!
I am sooooooo very, very , very proud of him.

Happy 1st Birthday Isaac!!
Yes, can you beleive it?.....I can't.
Grandma sent Isaac a balloon-a-gram for his birthday which he thought was pretty amazing. The biggest surprize was there was $$$ in each of the balloons for all the kids...and me too! Cam and Avery thought that was very cool.
Isaac needed help blowing out ALL his candles.

What rhymes with orange?
KARATE!
Cameron got his orange belt today!!!!!!!!!!
On another note, the tree fort is finally finished. Daddy did a kick butt job on building this little oasis for Avery. It has a shelf inside for all her bug jars, a planter box outside one of the windows, and a soon-to-be bench and table. The deer skull above the door was Avery's finishing touch.

Wacky Hair Day.
It was Wacky Hair Day at the kids school today and although they are wacky enough, Cameron decided to sport a mini-mohawk with his now long hair and Avery was the human version of a Unicorn. Avery's teacher told me after school that every time she looked Avery's way she thought she had her hand up! LOL. Believe it or not her hair stood up like that ALL day.

Why God Created Children.
Sometimes us old folks forget how to laugh and be happy, that's why God created children...to remind us.

Our fantastic trip to Quebec City.
We just returned home from a four day getaway to Quebec. Other then the long, long drive we had a great time. I was amazed by the beauty of Quebec City and I could have spent a week just wandering the streets and having drinks on all the outdoor patios (without kids of course).

We decided that it would be fun to tour the town on a horse pulled carriage (Yes, I know, how touristy) and it was so much fun. The kids loved it. Here is a picture of Avery and our tour guide Champion.

My gorgeous kids....well two of them anyway.
While we were in Quebec we were able to hook up with the couple I was in Vietnam with. It was so nice to see them again. The little guy they adopted is doing fantastic and is as cute as ever. Here is a picture of Victor and Isaac and if you look back in the blog to when I was in Vietnam there is an earlier picture of the two boys and you can see how much they have grown.
