WOW- And a BIG Thanks!

I recently sent out an email to friends and family asking them to sign a petition to amend a bill that now states that Canadian citizens who were born abroad (Isaac), their children if born abroad will not automatically be Canadian citizens. There is much more to the bill then just that but I'm sure you get the gist of it.
Anyway I just looked at the signatures of the petition and I cannot believe how many of my friends and family have already signed it!!!
A BIG THANKS to everyone who is supporting this cause. Hopefully someone in Parliament will realize this is discrimination and ALL Canadians should be treated equal.

New Moon- My new obsession

Okay. So I admit. I am totally obsessed with the Twilight series. Totally. I just watched the trailer for New Moon and had to share it with you. Can't wait. November 20th I'll be able to get my fill of gorgeous vampires and sexy werewolves. Till then I'll just have to watch the trailer over and over again. Check it out.

Cameron passed his green belt testing today!!!!

A perfect day to turn TWO!

First we went to the park and did some major playing....cause that's what two year olds do best. And hangin' out with my big brother.

Then finished the day off with some yummy birthday cake.

Today is a beautiful day. It's Isaac's day.

Officially Isaac!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, that's right. As of May 21, 2009 Hoang Minh Thach officially became Isaac Minh. We received the paperwork today. And it ONLY took seventeen and a half months for the name change to happen. Now we have to get down to the task of changing his name on his Canadian citizenship and health card. Once those are done we can apply for his SIN and passport...so much paperwork still to do. It seems to be never ending.

I cannot say enough about "Australia's Got Talent" winner 15 year old Mark Vincent. He has an unbelievable voice. One that will surely bring tears to your eyes (and mine many times over). Our newest family member.

We would like to introduce our newest little family member.
This is DRACULA. Dracula is Avery's feisty little six week old hamster. She's definitely a cute little girl...with razor sharp teeth and apparently loves the taste of blood (that's why Mike has gloves on).

On the way home from the pet store yesterday Dracula escaped from her 'critter carrying box' and in an attempt to capture her Avery received several bites to her hands. The back seat of the truck was covered with blood. That is how Dracula came by her name. We were eventually able to secure her back in her box for the rest of the drive home.

Dracula seems to be settling in nicely in her new home, although we are giving her a couple of days before we attempt to pick her up again.
